Apple Pie
Ingredients
- pastry for a double-crust 9-inch pie
- cornstarch
- Equal® sweetener
- ground cinnamon
- ground nutmeg
- salt
- and sliced
- cored
- peeled Granny Smith or other baking apples
Directions
- Roll out half of the pastry and place it in a pie pan.
- Combine cornstarch, Equal®, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; sprinkle over apples and toss. Arrange apples in the pie crust.
- Roll out the remaining pastry, cut hearts into it, and place it on top of the pie. Seal edges, trim, and flute. Press pastry hearts on top.
- Bake at 425°F for 40-50 minutes until the pastry is golden and apples are tender. Cool on a wire rack.
