  1. Roll out half of the pastry and place it in a pie pan.
  2. Combine cornstarch, Equal®, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; sprinkle over apples and toss. Arrange apples in the pie crust.
  3. Roll out the remaining pastry, cut hearts into it, and place it on top of the pie. Seal edges, trim, and flute. Press pastry hearts on top.
  4. Bake at 425°F for 40-50 minutes until the pastry is golden and apples are tender. Cool on a wire rack.
