Good to the Last Lick
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 large or 2 small potatoes, sliced into ¼-inch pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons flour
- ½ cup cornmeal
- ½ cup shredded cheese
Directions
- Brown the ground beef and onions together in a skillet.
- In a greased baking dish, layer sliced potatoes on the bottom.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and flour.
- Add half of the corn and cornmeal mixture.
- Spread the browned beef and onion mixture over the potatoes, draining excess grease.
- Pour tomato soup over the top, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
- Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
- Uncover and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until browned.
