Granny's Sunday Afternoon Tea Cakes

  1. Cream together the shortening and sugar until light.
  2. Add milk to the beaten eggs and then add the mixture slowly to the shortening and sugar.
  3. Add the flavoring and 2 cups of flour which has been sifted with the baking powder.
  4. Add additional flour to make a stiff dough.
  5. Roll out about 1/4 inch thick and cut with floured cutter.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes.
