Pear Salad (Double)
Ingredients
- 1 small package lemon Jello
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
- 1 cup mashed pears (canned and drained)
- 1 pint Cool Whip
Directions
- Drain pears and add enough water to the pear juice to make 1 cup of liquid.
- In a big bowl, stir the cream cheese until creamy.
- Boil the juice and add the Jello gradually. Add the hot Jello mixture to the cream cheese slowly, stirring until smooth (very important to stir well to avoid lumps).
- Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator and set until thickened.
- Mash the pears and add them to the thickened mixture.
- Fold in 1 pint of Cool Whip.
- Serve on lettuce leaves and top with cherries.
