Pear Salad (Double)

  1. Drain pears and add enough water to the pear juice to make 1 cup of liquid.
  2. In a big bowl, stir the cream cheese until creamy.
  3. Boil the juice and add the Jello gradually. Add the hot Jello mixture to the cream cheese slowly, stirring until smooth (very important to stir well to avoid lumps).
  4. Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator and set until thickened.
  5. Mash the pears and add them to the thickened mixture.
  6. Fold in 1 pint of Cool Whip.
  7. Serve on lettuce leaves and top with cherries.
