Petits Fours Icing
Ingredients
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup butter or Crisco or both
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- 1/4 cup Marshmallow Cream
Directions
- Combine brown sugar, shortening (butter/Crisco), water, and salt in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly.
- Boil vigorously for one minute.
- Remove from heat.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and marshmallow cream.
- Beat until smooth and has reached a spreading consistency.
