Pop Corn Balls

  1. Measure popped COOK SHACK POPCORN into buttered bowl (4-quart or larger). Combine together in heavy 1 1/2 quart saucepan the sugar, water, corn syrup, salt, and vinegar. Stir. Place heat until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cook, bring to boil and let boil briskly for 3 minutes (uncovered) or candy thermometer, and cook, mixture to hard ball stage (260°F.).
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour slowly over popcorn, turn stirring with 2 spoons buttered to coat each kernel.
  6. Immediately form into balls.
  7. Handle buttered to avoid sticking.
  8. Use butter on hands if necessary.
