Turnip & Mustard Greens and Old Fashioned Buttermilk Pie
Turnip & Mustard Greens
Ingredients
- 1 generous piece of ham hock
- 3 lbs. turnip greens
- 3 lbs. mustard greens
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions
- Cook the meat in a little water until tender.
- Put well-cleaned greens into the pan with meat and bring to a boil.
- Salt and pepper to taste and cook approximately 2 1/2 hours on medium heat.
Old Fashioned Buttermilk Pie

- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 rounded tablespoons flour
